It is ten nights split between two very different places: three nights in Dubai at a 4★ hotel with breakfast, then seven nights at a 4★ island resort in the Maldives on an all-inclusive basis. Your flights route London–Dubai–Malé–Dubai–London, and the speedboat or seaplane transfers between Malé and your island are included. The advertised lead-in price is £1,779pp based on two sharing, for June 2027; December 2026 is the dearest month at £2,799pp. Your exact price depends on dates, availability, room category and any options you add. It suits couples, and honeymooners in particular, who want a city and a beach in one trip. Every booking is ATOL protected under licence 10713.
The practical reason is the route. The flights to Malé go through Dubai in both directions, so three nights in the city cost you no extra long-haul flight — you are breaking a journey you were making anyway. You arrive on the island with the long travelling behind you, rather than stepping off an overnight flight straight onto a speedboat.
The other reason is contrast. Dubai is towers, malls, restaurants and a city that stays busy late. A Maldivian resort island is the opposite: one island, one resort, and nowhere to be. Three nights of the first make the seven nights of the second feel like the reward rather than the whole trip.
The board follows the same logic. In Dubai you have breakfast and nothing else, so your evenings are free to eat out in the city rather than at the hotel. On the island, every meal is at the resort anyway, so all inclusive — meals and the drinks on the resort’s all-inclusive list — removes the running tab that otherwise follows you around a Maldivian holiday.
For most couples, yes. Three nights in Dubai gives two full days after the arrival day: one for the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, which sit side by side, and one for Dubai Marina. That is enough for a first visit without the city starting to feel like the main event.
Seven nights is the length at which a Maldives stay stops feeling like a stopover. The first day goes on learning the island, the last on packing, and the five in between are the holiday. Fewer than seven and the transfer and the settling-in take a larger share of the stay.
The split is a starting point. An extra Dubai night — for the desert or Old Dubai — or a longer island stay can both be priced on request, and we confirm the figure in writing before you commit to anything.

May 2027 is next at £1,899pp, and September 2027 follows at £1,949pp. At the other end, December 2026 is £2,799pp, February 2027 is £2,499pp and January 2027 is £2,399pp — the northern-hemisphere winter, when both destinations are at their busiest. The gap between the cheapest and dearest month is £1,020 per person, which makes timing the single biggest lever on the price.
What the price buys is set out in full: the flights, three Dubai nights with breakfast, seven all-inclusive island nights, and the resort transfers. What sits outside it is short and specific — water sports, excursions, spa treatments, premium branded drinks outside the all-inclusive list, and travel insurance. Dubai airport transfers are not included; we can add one if you would rather not arrange it yourself.
Room category is the other thing that moves the price. The lead-in is for the entry room at each hotel; a larger room or a different villa type at the resort is quoted for your dates rather than guessed at here.
You are timing two climates at once, and they peak at different points. These are the World Meteorological Organization’s official averages — Dubai for 1974–1991 and Malé for 1981–2000 — for the months where the choice is hardest.

February has the best weather for both. It is the driest month of the year in Malé, with 3 rain days and 38.1mm, and Dubai is a comfortable 24.6°C. It is also the second dearest month, at £2,499pp.
March is the better balance. Malé averages 5 rain days, Dubai 27.9°C, and the holiday costs £2,199pp — £300 less than February and £600 less than December. If your dates can move, March is the month we would point most couples towards.
June is the value month, with a trade-off. At £1,779pp it is the cheapest of the year, but Malé averages 13 rain days, and Dubai averages 38.8°C — plan the city for early mornings and evenings. From May to December the Maldives is in its wetter months, with 12 to 15 rain days a month; the rain tends to come as heavy showers rather than whole grey days, and the temperature stays around 30°C all year.

It suits couples who want a city and a beach in one trip without a second long-haul flight; honeymooners, for the same reason and for the all-inclusive island stay; and first-time visitors to the Maldives who would rather break the journey than arrive straight off a long flight.
It is less suited to anyone who wants a week of Dubai — three nights is a taste, and our Dubai city break is the better starting point for that. After breakfast you fly on to Malé. From the airport you are taken to your island by speedboat or seaplane, depending on the resort, and the all-inclusive terms begin when you arrive.
Nothing is scheduled. The first full day is usually spent learning the island — the beach, the pools and where the reef begins.
Snorkelling and water sports are available at the resort; water sports and excursions are paid for locally, so you can decide once you have seen the conditions.
