Privacy Policy
This notice explains what we do with your personal information when you enquire about a holiday, make a booking, or simply browse this website. It is written to be read, not to be scrolled past.
Who we are
Love Luxury Holidays is a trading name of Super Destinations Limited, a UK tailor-made luxury travel operator registered in England and Wales under company number 08243733, with its registered office at 344-348 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1QP. Super Destinations Limited is the data controller for the information described in this notice.
You can reach us about anything in this notice by email at info@loveluxuryholidays.co.uk, by telephone on 0203 727 6361, or by post at the address above.
Our flight-inclusive holidays are financially protected under ATOL 10713, held by Super Destinations Limited, and we hold IATA accreditation 91285611. Both involve sharing limited passenger information with the bodies that administer them, which is covered below.
The information we collect
When you enquire
Our enquiry forms ask for your name, telephone number and email address, and for the details we need in order to quote sensibly: where you would like to go, roughly when, how many are travelling, your budget range, and anything else you choose to tell us. You decide how much of that to give us.
When you book
A confirmed booking needs more than an enquiry does. Depending on the arrangements, that can include the full name, date of birth and passport details of everyone travelling, contact details for the lead passenger, frequent-flyer numbers, and any requests you make about rooms, seating or transfers.
Some of what you tell us counts as special category data under the UK GDPR — a dietary requirement, a mobility need, a medical condition. We use it for one purpose: arranging what you asked for. It goes only to the suppliers who need it to deliver it.
When you pay
Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on this website.
When you browse
Our web server records the usual technical information — IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request — which is how any website is served and kept secure.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation. Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To arrange and service a booking. Performance of our contract with you.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations. ATOL reporting, financial records, and information required by airlines, border authorities and the countries you are travelling to.
- To handle special category data such as health, dietary or accessibility needs. Your explicit consent, given when you tell us about it.
- To improve this website and keep it secure. Our legitimate interest in running a service that works.
- To send you offers by email. Your consent, or our legitimate interest where you are an existing customer. You can stop this at any time.
Who we share it with
Arranging a holiday means passing information to the people who deliver it. That normally includes:
- airlines, hotels, villa owners, cruise lines, transfer companies and local ground handlers;
- the Civil Aviation Authority and the ATOL scheme, and IATA, in connection with financial protection and ticketing;
- payment providers, our insurers and our professional advisers;
- the IT suppliers who host this website and our email;
- border and immigration authorities, where a destination requires advance passenger information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
Sending information abroad
Travel does not respect borders, and neither does the information needed to arrange it. If you are flying to the Maldives, the hotel in the Maldives has to receive your booking. Where information goes to a country outside the UK that does not have equivalent data protection laws, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, or on the transfer being necessary to perform your contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only as long as they are useful, and are then deleted. Booking and financial records are kept for as long as UK tax and accounting law requires — generally six years after the end of the relevant financial year — and for as long as a claim could still be brought.
Cookies and third-party services
This website does not set advertising or profiling cookies. It stores one small item in your browser to remember that you have already dismissed our enquiry prompt, so that it does not reappear on every page.
Some parts of the site load resources from third parties, which means those third parties receive your IP address:
- Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
- Trustpilot — our review platform.
- cdnjs — a content delivery network used for one mapping library on our destination atlas.
You can block or delete browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using the site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to do any of the following.
- Give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct it, if it is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Restrict how we use it, or object to our using it at all.
- Send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form.
- Stop relying on your consent, where consent is what we were relying on.
Write to info@loveluxuryholidays.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. We may need to confirm who you are before we release anything — that protection is for you.
Some rights have limits. We cannot delete a booking record that we are legally obliged to keep, and we cannot remove information an airline needs while you are still due to fly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first — most things are quicker to fix directly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
