The experience

Morocco in detail

Quick answer

A holiday to Morocco costs from £499 per person, based on two people sharing. That covers 7 nights, breakfast in marrakech, all-inclusive in agadir and return flights from London. December 2026 is the cheapest departure currently on sale. Secure it with £99pp and pay the balance nearer the time. Every holiday we sell is ATOL 10713 protected.

What is the Marrakech and all-inclusive Agadir holiday, and what does it cost?

It is seven nights in Morocco: three in Marrakech at a 4★ riad with breakfast, then four at a 4★ beachfront resort on the Atlantic coast at Agadir on an all-inclusive basis. Open-jaw flights — into Marrakech, home from Agadir — are included with one small hand bag each, and so is a private taxi between the two, which takes approximately three hours. The advertised lead-in price is £499pp based on two sharing, for departures from 1 to 15 December 2026; January is £519pp and July, the dearest month, £699pp. Your exact price depends on dates, availability, room category and any options you add. It suits couples and friends who want a city with real character and then a few easy days by the sea. British visitors need no visa for Morocco, and every booking is ATOL protected under licence 10713.

Why pair Marrakech with Agadir?

Because Marrakech is wonderful and tiring in equal measure. Jemaa el-Fnaa, the souks, Bahia Palace and Majorelle Garden fill three days with noise, colour and bargaining — and then you want somewhere to sit still. Agadir, on the Atlantic, is that place: a resort, a beach, and meals and drinks already paid for.

The order works for the same reason as any city-then-beach trip: the effort comes first, while you are fresh, and the holiday ends on the coast. The flights are open-jaw and a private taxi is included, so the move to the coast is a morning’s drive and you fly home from Agadir without going back to Marrakech.

The board fits each half. In Marrakech you have breakfast, because eating in the medina and on the square is part of the experience. In Agadir, all inclusive keeps the last four nights simple.

Is three nights in Marrakech and four in Agadir the right split?

For a first visit, yes. Three nights in Marrakech give you the arrival evening on Jemaa el-Fnaa and two full days: one for the souks and Bahia Palace, one for Majorelle Garden and a last evening in the city. That is enough to see the headline sights without the medina wearing you out.

Four nights in Agadir give three full days on the coast — a proper wind-down rather than a quick stop. If you want more beach time, a longer Agadir stay can be priced on request, and your consultant confirms the figure in writing before you commit.

How much does the Marrakech and Agadir holiday cost?

The advertised lead-in price is £499pp based on two sharing, for departures from 1 to 15 December 2026. January 2027 is £519pp, November 2026 £529pp, March £549pp and February £559pp; May and June are £599pp, April £639pp, October 2026 £679pp, and July 2027 the dearest at £699pp — £200 more than early December. Prices run to July 2027; later dates are priced on request.

Unusually, the cheapest months are good ones to go. Winter is when Marrakech is most comfortable for walking, so the cheapest departures are not a compromise on the city half — the trade-off is that the Agadir coast is mild rather than hot. What the price buys stays the same all year: the flights with a small hand bag each, three riad nights with breakfast, the private transfer, and four all-inclusive nights on the coast. Checked baggage, airport transfers, excursions and travel insurance are not included, and we can quote any of them before you travel.

When is the best time to go to Marrakech and Agadir?

These are the World Meteorological Organization’s official averages for 1991–2020, supplied by Morocco’s Direction de la Météorologie Nationale.

Month Marrakech average high Agadir average high Agadir rain days
January 19.1°C 21.1°C 4
March 23.6°C 23.4°C 5
April 25.7°C 23.2°C 4
July 37.7°C 26.7°C 1
August 37.4°C 27.0°C 2
October 28.5°C 26.1°C 3
November 23.1°C 24.1°C 4

Agadir hardly changes. Its average high runs from 21.1°C in January to 27.0°C in August, and it never records more than six rain days a month. The coast is dependable all year; it is simply warm rather than hot in winter.

Marrakech is the one to time. It swings from 19.1°C in January to 37.7°C in July, and the medina in high summer is hard going. Spring and autumn are the sweet spots: March and April at 23.6°C to 25.7°C, for £549pp and £639pp, and October at 28.5°C, for £679pp. Winter — November to February, from £499pp for early-December departures — is excellent for the city, with the coast mild.

Our Marrakech holidays guide sets every month’s price against the weather in both places, with rainfall as well as rain days, and covers what to pack for winter evenings in the medina.

Who is this holiday for — and who should look elsewhere?

It suits couples and friends who want a short break with real contrast; anyone who wants winter warmth without a long-haul flight, provided they are happy with a mild rather than hot coast; and first-time visitors to Morocco who want Marrakech without making a whole holiday of the medina.

It is less suited to anyone who wants guaranteed hot beach weather in winter, or a longer beach stay — for a ten-night city-and-beach trip, Istanbul and all-inclusive Antalya gives you a week on the coast. And anyone who dislikes crowds and bargaining may find Marrakech’s souks more tiring than fun.

How does it compare with other city-and-beach holidays?

Holiday Nights City Beach Choose it if…
Marrakech & All-Inclusive Agadir 7 Marrakech, 3 nights Agadir, 4 nights all inclusive You want a shorter trip and mild winter warmth
Istanbul & All-Inclusive Antalya 10 Istanbul, 3 nights Antalya, 7 nights all inclusive You want a longer beach week and hot summer sun
Dubai & All-Inclusive Maldives 10 Dubai, 3 nights Maldives, 7 nights all inclusive You want a long-haul island

In winter the difference between the two Mediterranean-and-Atlantic options is stark: Agadir averages 21.1°C in January, against 14.9°C in Antalya. For more resort holidays where meals and drinks are covered, see our all-inclusive holidays, and our advice on getting the best all-inclusive deal.

What are the three nights in Marrakech like?

You stay at a 4★ riad such as Riad Infinity Sea & Spa or similar, with breakfast. A riad is a traditional house built around an inner courtyard — a quiet retreat after a day in the medina.

The first evening belongs to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the great square, which comes alive after dark. The next day is the souks and Bahia Palace; the one after, Majorelle Garden, with its blue villa and cactus beds — or the optional Atlas Mountains tour, at extra cost, out to mountain scenery and Berber villages. Carry some cash — the Moroccan dirham — for the souks, where bargaining is expected. Airport transfers are not included, so plan how you will reach the hotel on arrival, or ask us to quote one.

What are the four nights in Agadir like?

The included private taxi takes approximately three hours, and you stay four nights at a 4★ all-inclusive resort such as the beachfront Amadil Ocean Club or similar. Meals and drinks at the resort are covered under its all-inclusive terms, and your consultant confirms exactly what those terms include in writing before you pay.

The days are yours: the long sandy beach, the seafront promenade and the marina, or simply the pool. You fly home from Agadir, so the last morning is on the coast. For more beach holidays, see our beach holidays.

What do you need to know before you travel to Morocco?

  • Visa. None for tourism. GOV.UK says British visitors can stay up to 90 days without a visa.
  • Passport. It must have an expiry date at least three months after the date you arrive, and it must not be damaged — Moroccan authorities have refused entry to travellers with damaged passports.
  • Entry stamp. Make sure border officials stamp your passport when you arrive; GOV.UK notes that some visitors without a stamp have had difficulties when leaving.
  • Currency. The Moroccan dirham. Carry cash for the souks.
  • Baggage. One small hand bag per person is included; a checked bag is extra, so tell us before you book if you need one.
  • Transfers and insurance. Airport transfers and travel insurance are not included; we can quote transfers, and insurance should be arranged when you book.

Entry rules are GOV.UK’s guidance, checked on 25 September 2026. Check the latest official requirements before you travel, as they can change.

How do you book, and how are you protected?

Tell us your dates, your departure airport and who is travelling, and your consultant will confirm a live price, the hotels and the payment schedule in writing before you commit. The package is protected under ATOL 10713, and you receive an ATOL Certificate setting out what is covered. ATOL protects the money you pay if a travel company fails; it is not travel insurance, which you should arrange separately. Frequently asked questions

The lead-in price is £499 per person, based on two sharing, for departures from 1 to 15 December 2026: seven nights including open-jaw flights from London, three nights at a Marrakech riad with breakfast, a private transfer to Agadir and four all-inclusive nights there. January is £519 and November £529; July is the dearest at £699.

Open-jaw flights — London to Marrakech, and Agadir to London — with one small hand bag each, three nights at a 4★ riad such as Riad Infinity Sea & Spa or similar with breakfast, a private taxi from Marrakech to Agadir, and four all-inclusive nights at a 4★ resort such as Amadil Ocean Club or similar. ATOL 10713 protection covers the package.

Checked (hold) baggage, the optional Atlas Mountains tour and other excursions, airport transfers and travel insurance are not included. In Marrakech, lunches and dinners are your own, because the riad stay is on a breakfast basis. We can quote a checked bag, airport transfers or the Atlas tour before you travel.

No. GOV.UK says British visitors can visit Morocco without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism. Your passport must have an expiry date at least three months after the date you arrive, and it must not be damaged. Check GOV.UK close to travel, as rules can change.

GOV.UK advises making sure border officials stamp your passport when you arrive, because some visitors without an entry stamp have had difficulties when leaving. Check the stamp is there before you walk away from the desk — it takes seconds and avoids a problem at the end of the holiday.

Spring and autumn suit both halves. In March and April Marrakech averages 23.6°C to 25.7°C and Agadir around 23°C, for £549 to £639 per person. October is warmer — Marrakech 28.5°C, Agadir 26.1°C — at £679. High summer is the hardest time in Marrakech, which averages 37.7°C in July.

Mild rather than hot. Agadir’s official average high is 21.1°C in January and 22.0°C in February, with about four rain days a month, and Marrakech is 19°C to 21°C — comfortable weather for the souks. Winter is also when the holiday costs least, from £499 per person for early-December departures, though it is not scorching beach weather.

Very hot. The official average high is 33.6°C in June, 37.7°C in July and 37.4°C in August, falling to 32.5°C in September. If you travel then, plan the medina for early morning and evening. Agadir stays much cooler on the coast, averaging 25.6°C to 27.0°C through the summer.

December 2026, at £499 per person for departures from 1 to 15 December. January follows at £519 and November at £529. They are good months for the city: Marrakech averages 19°C to 23°C, ideal for walking the medina, and Agadir 21°C to 24°C — mild rather than hot on the coast.

July 2027, at £699 per person — £200 more than the early-December price. October is £679, and May and June £599. Summer is also when Marrakech is at its hottest, averaging 37.7°C in July, so the city half of the holiday is harder work.

Approximately three hours by road, in a private taxi that is included in the price. It runs on the fourth day, after breakfast in Marrakech, and your consultant confirms the pick-up time with your travel documents.

No. The private taxi from Marrakech to Agadir is included, but transfers between the airports and your hotels are not. We can quote private airport transfers for both ends if you would rather have them arranged before you travel.

In Marrakech, a 4★ riad such as Riad Infinity Sea & Spa or similar, with breakfast. In Agadir, a 4★ all-inclusive resort such as Amadil Ocean Club, on the beachfront, or similar. Hotels are named as examples of the standard; tell us if a particular property matters to you and we will price it.

A traditional Moroccan house built around an inner courtyard or garden, turned inward away from the street. As a hotel, a riad has its rooms around that courtyard, which makes it a quiet retreat from the noise of the medina after a day in the souks.

No. The flights include one small hand bag per person; a checked (hold) bag is extra. If you need one, tell us before you book and we will quote it for your flights, so there is no surprise at the airport in London or Agadir.

The flights are open-jaw: London to Marrakech, then Agadir to London. You never travel back to Marrakech to fly home, so the private transfer to the coast is the only journey inside Morocco, and the last day ends at the beach rather than on the road.

Prices are from London. Regional UK departures may be available at a supplement, depending on flight availability and the fare on the day. Tell us your nearest airport when you enquire and your consultant will price it in writing before you commit.

Meals and drinks at the resort for the four Agadir nights, under the resort’s all-inclusive terms. Your consultant confirms exactly what those terms cover for your hotel in writing before you pay, including anything the resort charges separately.

For a beach finish to a city trip, yes — four nights give three full days on the coast, enough to unwind after the medina. If you want more beach time, a longer Agadir stay can be priced on request, and your consultant confirms the figure in writing before you commit.

Yes, as an optional tour from Marrakech at extra cost, taking you out of the city to mountain scenery and traditional Berber villages. It fits the third day, before the transfer to the coast, and your consultant can add it when you book.

The Moroccan dirham. Carry some cash for the souks, where haggling is expected and many stalls do not take cards. At an all-inclusive resort in Agadir, most of your spending will be on optional excursions and anything outside the resort’s all-inclusive terms.

Yes. Seven nights is long enough for a proper change of scene without taking a big bite out of the year’s leave, and the shape — a lively city, then a few easy days on the coast — suits couples who want both. Tell us about any occasion when you enquire.

Both pair a great city with an all-inclusive beach. Marrakech and Agadir is shorter, at seven nights, and much warmer in winter — Agadir averages 21°C in January against Antalya’s 15°C. Istanbul and Antalya is ten nights with a longer beach stay and hotter summer beach weather.

Yes. The package is protected under ATOL 10713, and you receive an ATOL Certificate setting out what is covered. ATOL protects the money you pay if a travel company fails; it is not travel insurance, which is not included and which you should arrange when you book.
