The experience

USA in detail

Quick answer

A holiday to the USA costs from £1,879 per person, based on two people sharing. That covers 12 nights, all-inclusive and return flights from London. January 2027 is the cheapest departure currently on sale. Secure it with £99pp and pay the balance nearer the time. Every holiday we sell is ATOL 10713 protected.

What does the Orlando, Miami and Jamaica trip include, and what does it cost?

Twelve nights. Four nights in Orlando at the Rosen Plaza or similar 4★, three in Miami at the Loews Miami Beach or similar 4★, and five in Jamaica at the RIU Montego Bay or similar 5★ on an all-inclusive basis. Return UK flights and the internal flights from Orlando to Miami to Montego Bay are included. ATOL protection under licence 10713 applies and a £99 per person deposit holds it. Theme park tickets are not included, nor are meals in Orlando and Miami, the ESTA or travel insurance.

How does this compare with our Bahamas version?

We run two twelve-night Florida trips that look almost identical on price, and the difference is the island at the end.

Factor This trip — Jamaica Orlando, Miami & Bahamas
Split 4 Orlando, 3 Miami, 5 Jamaica 4 Orlando, 4 Miami, 4 Nassau
The island Jamaica — mountains, rivers, a strong sense of place Paradise Island — a compact resort strip
All-inclusive nights Five Four
Entry paperwork ESTA, plus Jamaica’s mandatory C5 form ESTA only

This one gives you an extra all-inclusive night and a far more interesting island, for twenty pounds less. The Bahamas version gives an extra Miami night and slightly less paperwork. If the island half matters to you, take Jamaica.

What you will actually do

In Orlando, the Rosen Plaza sits on International Drive, between the two park complexes rather than committed to either. Four nights is realistically two full park days plus two slower ones — outlet shopping, a water park, or the hotel pool, which with children is not a wasted day. Park tickets are separate and substantial, so price them before you compare the holiday with anything else.

In Miami, three nights on South Beach. The Loews is on Collins Avenue with the sand behind it and the Art Deco Historic District a short walk along Ocean Drive. Little Havana and Wynwood are both worth crossing the causeway for.

In Jamaica, the RIU Montego Bay or similar, all inclusive for five nights. Jamaica is the most characterful island in this part of our programme — mountains, rivers, Dunn’s River Falls, and a musical heritage that is genuinely present rather than staged for visitors. Five all-inclusive nights after seven of American prices is the point of the trip.

When is the best time to go?

January is the cheapest month, and it is also one of the best. Orlando in January is mild rather than punishing, which matters enormously when you are queueing outdoors, and Jamaica is in its dry season.

July is the most expensive — school holidays, Florida humidity and the hottest part of the Jamaican summer together. August is barely better.

Month Notes
January Cheapest; mild in Orlando, dry in Jamaica
February Similar; Caribbean high season
November Hurricane season ending, parks quieter
September, December September is peak hurricane season
October Warm, season easing
May Before the summer rains
June Hot and humid, parks busy
August Most uncomfortable in Orlando
July Dearest, and the hardest work

Atlantic hurricane season runs 1 June to 30 November, with September and October the most active. Both Florida and Jamaica sit in that zone, so travel insurance matters more in those months.

What changes your price?

  • The month. January at its cheapest against July at its dearest for the same twelve nights.
  • Park tickets, which are not in the price and are the single largest addition.
  • How the nights split. Four, three and five is standard; more in Jamaica and fewer in Orlando costs less to run and, for many families, makes a better holiday.
  • Departure airport. Priced from the UK, with the routing and any regional supplement confirmed at enquiry.
  • Room grade and occupancy. Family rooms, connecting rooms and upgraded categories are quoted individually.

Who this holiday suits

  • Families who want the parks but not a fortnight of them.
  • Anyone who would find twelve nights in Orlando alone too much — which is most people.
  • Travellers who want an island with real character rather than a resort strip.
  • Groups with mixed interests, since the three stops ask for completely different things.
  • People who want the last third of the trip to cost nothing extra.

Who might prefer something else

  • If the parks are the whole point, four nights is two park days. A dedicated Orlando trip gives more for less.
  • Prefer everything included? Seven of the twelve nights are not, in two expensive American cities.
  • Want the simplest paperwork? Jamaica’s C5 form is mandatory on top of the ESTA. The Bahamas version needs only the ESTA.
  • If July or August are fixed, that is peak price, peak queue and peak humidity at once.
  • If moving three times is the issue, our Miami and St Lucia trip does city and beach in two stops.
  • Not sure this is the one? Browse our other all-inclusive holidays and tell us what appeals.
  • Worth comparing against our 10 Nights New York & Cancún All-Inclusive Escape, which covers similar ground.

Ways to upgrade

All quoted at enquiry against your dates.

  • Family or connecting rooms at any of the three stops
  • A hotel closer to a specific Orlando park rather than mid-way on International Drive
  • Park tickets arranged in advance rather than bought on arrival
  • Ocean-view or swim-up categories in Montego Bay
  • More nights in Jamaica and fewer in Orlando
  • Car hire in Florida, and excursions in Jamaica such as Dunn’s River Falls

What is not included?

  • Theme park tickets. The largest single addition by a wide margin — price them before comparing the holiday with any other.
  • Meals and drinks across Orlando and Miami, which is seven of the twelve nights.
  • The ESTA, $40.27 per person including children.
  • Car hire in Florida, plus fuel and park parking.
  • Excursions in Jamaica and anything outside the all-inclusive list.
  • Travel insurance, which matters more between June and November.

How should you plan the Orlando days?

Four nights is two park days and two recovery days, and which two you pick makes more difference than anything else on this leg.

Book park tickets before you travel. Prices vary by date and by how many days you buy, and the popular parks use timed entry that fills. Turning up and deciding on the morning is the most expensive way to do it.

Do not attempt both complexes in two days. Disney and Universal are separate worlds and a day at each leaves you having rushed both. One full day at one, one at the other, is the realistic ceiling — or two days at a single complex if your party has a clear favourite.

Use the recovery days properly. The outlet malls on International Drive, a water park, or simply the hotel pool. With children, a slow day between two park days is what stops the second one being miserable.

The heat is the other factor. In June, July and August the parks are genuinely punishing by early afternoon, which is part of why January is both the cheapest month and the more comfortable holiday.

Getting there and getting around

Return UK flights and the internal flights from Orlando to Miami to Montego Bay are all on the same booking. Orlando is around nine hours from the UK, Orlando to Miami is a short hop, and Miami to Montego Bay roughly an hour and a half. Florida runs five hours behind the UK, Jamaica six.

In Orlando most families take a hire car for the parks and International Drive, though shuttles run. Miami’s South Beach is walkable once you are on it. Montego Bay’s airport transfer is short, which is welcome at the end of a long travel day.

Entry requirements for UK travellers

Checked against GOV.UK foreign travel advice on 17 September 2026. We re-confirm before you travel.

United States: an ESTA is required before you fly, $40.27, valid two years, covering stays of up to 90 days. Every traveller needs their own including children, and it applies to transit as well as entry.

Jamaica: no visa, and you will usually be granted 90 days. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay and have two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. The Immigration and Customs Form C5 must be completed online before you arrive, and it is mandatory — not a recommendation. Arrival and departure taxes are normally included in the ticket price.

Booking and protection

Your booking is covered by our ATOL licence 10713 and we hold IATA accreditation 91285611. It is held with a deposit of £99 per person, with the balance due before travel.

Prices are per person, based on two people sharing. School holiday dates sell first and are also the most expensive, so if you are tied to them start early. If you are not, January is both the cheapest month and one of the most comfortable across all three stops.

What’s included in your holiday

Return flights from the UK Internal flights Orlando–Miami–Montego Bay

5 nights in Jamaica (RIU Montego Bay or similar 5★ – All Inclusive)

Frequently asked questions

From £1,879 per person for twelve nights, reduced from £2,410, including return UK flights, the internal flights between all three stops, and hotels with the five Jamaica nights all inclusive. January is cheapest and July dearest.

No, and they are the single largest additional cost of the holiday by a wide margin. Walt Disney World and Universal tickets are bought separately, either arranged in advance through us or on arrival. Price them before you compare the holiday against anything else.

This one is £1,879 against £1,899, with five all-inclusive nights rather than four and a far more interesting island. The Bahamas version gives an extra Miami night and needs only an ESTA, whereas Jamaica also requires its mandatory C5 form. If the island half matters, take Jamaica.

It is two full park days plus two slower ones, which is about right. Theme parks are exhausting and a week of them is a mistake most families make only once. The slower days can be outlet shopping, a water park or the hotel pool, which with children is not wasted time.

Yes. The Immigration and Customs Form C5 must be completed online before you arrive, and it is mandatory rather than a recommendation. It is the extra step this trip has that our Bahamas version does not, and it is worth doing well before you travel rather than at the airport.

Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay and have two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. The two blank pages catch people out more often than the validity does, particularly on a trip that already stamps you in and out of the United States. Checked against GOV.UK on 17 September 2026.

Yes, before you fly, and every traveller needs their own including children. It costs $40.27, lasts two years and covers stays of up to 90 days. It applies to transit as well as entry. Check any existing authorisation rather than assuming it is current — the fee rose from $21.

January, and it is also one of the best months for this itinerary. Orlando in January is mild rather than punishing, which matters a great deal when you are queueing outdoors, and Jamaica is in its dry season. July is dearest.

It is the most uncomfortable month in Orlando — hot, humid and with afternoon thunderstorms — and per person it is close to the dearest. If you are tied to school holidays there is no avoiding it, but any flexibility at all buys you better weather for less money.

Atlantic hurricane season runs 1 June to 30 November, with September and October the most active, and both Florida and Jamaica sit within that zone. September is higher again here against the January low of £1,879, so the pricing reflects it. Good travel insurance matters in those months.

Yes, both of them, on the same booking as your return UK flights. Orlando to Miami is a short hop and Miami to Montego Bay roughly an hour and a half. Having them on one contract means a delay anywhere is ours to re-arrange rather than something you solve at a US airport.

The RIU Montego Bay or similar 5★, all inclusive, for five nights. Alternative resorts along the Montego Bay coast and in Negril can be quoted against your dates, as can ocean-view and swim-up categories. The airport transfer from Montego Bay is short.

Considerably more than at a resort-strip island. Dunn's River Falls, the Blue Mountains, rafting on the Martha Brae, and a musical heritage that is genuinely present rather than staged for visitors. Five all-inclusive nights is enough to do two or three of those and still have beach days.

Most families take one, because it is how you manage the parks, International Drive and your own schedule. Shuttles do run. Miami's South Beach is walkable once you are there, and in Jamaica the resort transfer is included so you need nothing beyond excursion transport.

Yes. Four, three and five is standard, and shifting nights from Orlando to Jamaica is priced on request — it usually costs less and, for families who find the parks tiring, often makes a better holiday. Tell us the split you want and we will quote it against your dates.

It covers South Beach, the Art Deco Historic District along Ocean Drive, and one evening in Little Havana or Wynwood. It is also a genuine rest between the parks and the flight onward, which is part of why the split works. Our Bahamas version gives Miami a fourth night if you want it.

Park tickets first — they are the largest addition and are not in the price. Then seven nights of meals across Orlando and Miami, a hire car if you take one, the ESTA for every traveller, and travel insurance. Only the five Jamaica nights are already settled.

It is one of the better trips we sell for them. The parks, South Beach and an all-inclusive Caribbean resort cover most of what a teenager wants, and three stops means nobody is in one place long enough to get bored of it. Room configurations for families are quoted on request.

Ninety-nine pounds per person, with the balance due before travel. The holiday is ATOL 10713 protected and we hold IATA accreditation 91285611. Prices are per person, based on two people sharing.

The price is quoted from the UK and we confirm the exact routing and any regional supplement for your dates at enquiry. With three sectors on this itinerary the options vary more by date than on a single-destination holiday, which is why we price it individually rather than publish a figure.

We would point you to the current GOV.UK travel advice for Jamaica rather than give you our own assessment, and we will go through it with you before you book. The resort areas around Montego Bay are well established for family tourism, and your transfers are arranged as part of the package.

Early if you are tied to school holidays, because those dates are both the first to sell and the most expensive at up to £2,149 per person. If you are not tied to them, January is the cheapest month, among the most comfortable, and holds availability considerably longer.
