A Seychelles holiday starts at £1,799pp for seven or ten nights, four-star and room only, including return flights from London. June is the cheapest month — and one of the three driest. December is the dearest, at £2,299pp, and with January the wettest. One more thing to know before you choose dates: every visitor needs a travel authorisation before they fly — the Seychelles has no visa for British citizens, but it does have this.

Read this first: the travel authorisation
This is the one step of a Seychelles holiday that sits entirely with you, which is why it comes before the weather and the prices.
British citizens do not need a visa for the Seychelles, but you must get a travel authorisation before you travel. GOV.UK says you apply and pay for it online, through the Seychelles Electronic Border System, and that you can apply up to 30 days before you arrive. The official site is seychelles.govtas.com, and the system is owned by the Government of Seychelles.
When you apply, you need to be able to show three things:
- a valid return or onward ticket;
- proof of confirmed accommodation; and
- sufficient funds for the length of your stay.
The first two come with your booking: the confirmation we send you in writing covers both.
Apply in good time. GOV.UK says an emergency express service is available for an additional fee. It is better not to need it.

What it costs and what the weather does, month by month
These are our lead-in prices per person, with return flights from London, set against the official climate record for Victoria, the capital.

Climate figures are the World Meteorological Organization’s official normals for the Victoria station, 1981–2010, supplied by the Seychelles’ national meteorological service through the WMO World Weather Information Service.
Start with the column that barely moves. The average high sits between 28.5°C and 31.6°C in every month of the year — a difference of 3.1°C between the coolest month and the warmest. There is no cool season to avoid. Heat is simply not the thing you are choosing between.
What does change is rain. No month has fewer than 13 rain days, so rain is part of a Seychelles holiday whenever you go; it is a tropical island, not a desert. The question is how much, and that is where the dates start to matter.
The two rain columns do not always agree, and the difference is worth understanding. February has the fewest rain days of the year, 13, yet the third-highest rainfall, 249.2mm — its rain comes in heavy falls, averaging 19.2mm on each rainy day. June is the opposite: 17 rain days, but only 115.6mm, or 6.8mm a time. If what you want is the least rain overall, look at June, July and August, the three lowest totals of the year, rather than at February.
Our prices are lead-in prices — the lowest available for that month on the dates and rooms that still have space. Your exact figure depends on your dates, your airport and how many of you are travelling, and it is confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
December and January cost the most and rain the most
Put the price and the rain side by side and the festive season comes out badly on both. December and January are the two dearest months, at £2,299pp and £2,049pp, and the two wettest on both measures — 21 and 20 rain days, and 305.9mm and 403.7mm of rain. The premium for travelling over Christmas and New Year buys the rainiest weeks of the year.
If you want the Seychelles in the British winter, February is the better bet. It has 13 rain days against December’s 21, 249.2mm of rain against 305.9mm, and at £1,999pp it costs £300 less. It is not a dry month — only a drier one than December and January.
June is where price and weather line up. It is the cheapest month of the year, at £1,799pp — £500 less than December — and it has the second-lowest rainfall, 115.6mm, after July. The average high is a comfortable 29.2°C. March and April are not in our current price calendar; tell us your dates and we will price them.
What the package includes
It is a four-star, room-only package: seven or ten nights at the Fisherman’s Cove Resort or similar, with return flights from London, held with a £99 per person deposit and protected under ATOL 10713.
Because it is room only, meals — breakfast among them — are not included in the price. If you would rather have breakfast or half board, we will quote it in writing before you pay, along with the room and the resort, so there is nothing to discover on arrival.
If you want to fly from a regional airport, tell us which one when you enquire. Any difference from the London fare is confirmed in writing before you pay.
If all-inclusive is the priority
If what you are really after is an all-inclusive holiday in the Indian Ocean, it is worth being straight about the difference: our Seychelles holiday is room only.
If an all-inclusive board matters more than the island itself, our Mauritius all-inclusive beach escape starts at £1,299pp for seven, ten or twelve nights with flights from London. The all-inclusive collection sets out every option side by side.
Entry requirements for UK passport holders
Beyond the travel authorisation, three things to know:
- your passport must be valid for the whole of your stay;
- on arrival you are given a visitor’s permit for three months, which can be extended in three-month steps up to a maximum of twelve months in total; and
- at the border you may be asked to show proof of travel insurance that covers potential health costs.
That is GOV.UK’s guidance, checked on 24 September 2026. Entry rules are set by the Seychelles authorities and can change, so check GOV.UK again close to departure.
