The experience

Ibiza in detail

Quick answer

A holiday to Ibiza costs from £199 per person, based on two people sharing. That covers 4 nights and return flights from London. November 2026 is the cheapest departure currently on sale. Secure it with £99pp and pay the balance nearer the time. Every holiday we sell is ATOL 10713 protected.

What does an Ibiza holiday include, and what does it cost?

Four nights at the Hotel THB Los Molinos Ibiza or similar 4★ with return flights from London and daily breakfast listed in the package. ATOL protection under licence 10713 applies and a £99 per person deposit holds it. Regional UK airports are available at a supplement confirmed at enquiry. Club entry, excursions, transfers, the Balearic tourist tax and travel insurance are not included, and your meal arrangement is confirmed in writing before you pay. It is our cheapest Balearic package, and Cala Llonga is a quiet east-coast bay rather than the club strip — which suits some people very well and will disappoint others, so it is worth knowing which you are before you book a date.

Read this before you book the cheap months

Ibiza’s cheapest month is November, and it is cheap for a reason that matters more here than almost anywhere else we sell.

The clubs are shut. Ibiza’s club season runs roughly from late spring to early autumn, with opening and closing parties either end of it. In November, January and February you are buying a quiet Mediterranean island with a pleasant old town, good restaurants and a cold sea — which is a perfectly nice four nights, but it is not the thing Ibiza is famous for.

If you are coming for the nightlife, you need the summer months and you will pay for them: July, August. If you are coming for a quiet island and the price, the winter is genuinely good value and considerably calmer.

Month What you actually get
November Cheapest; quiet island, clubs closed, sea too cold
January, February Mild, very quiet, off season entirely
March Warming; season not yet started
September Warm sea, season still running — the sweet spot
October Closing parties, sea still warm
May Season opening, quieter than peak
December Festive premium on an off-season island
June Season proper, before the peak
July, August Dearest, busiest, everything open

September is the best combination on this table — the sea is at its warmest after a summer of heating, the clubs are still running, and it is sixty pounds cheaper than August.

Which Ibiza are you booking?

It is worth knowing which one you are booking.

The famous one is San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa — the clubs, the sunset strip, the bars. It is loud, it is young, and it is very good at what it does.

The other one is most of the island: hill villages, pine forests, small coves, farm restaurants and a UNESCO-listed old town at Dalt Vila. A great many people who say they dislike Ibiza have only seen the first version.

The package is based at Cala Llonga on the east coast, which sits between the two — a quiet horseshoe bay with a sandy beach, about twenty minutes from Ibiza Town and further from the club strip. It suits people who want the island rather than the strip, with the option of a taxi to either.

What you will actually do

Dalt Vila, the walled old town above Ibiza Town, is UNESCO World Heritage listed and the thing most visitors are surprised by. Walk up through the gate at dusk; the view back over the harbour is the best free thing on the island.

Cala Llonga beach is sheltered, sandy and shallow, which makes it better for swimming than most of the rocky coves. It is a resort beach rather than a wild one.

The sunset at Café del Mar in San Antonio is the ritual — busy, commercialised and still worth doing once. The quieter version is any west-facing cove with a bottle of something.

Formentera, the small island to the south, has the best beaches in the Balearics and is a ferry ride from Ibiza Town. On four nights it is a full day, and for a good number of people it is the best one.

What changes your price?

  • The month. November at its cheapest against August at its dearest — and what you get for it differs completely.
  • Departure airport. Priced from London, with regional UK airports at a supplement confirmed at enquiry.
  • Hotel and location. The THB Los Molinos or similar is 4★ at Cala Llonga. Properties in Ibiza Town, San Antonio or Playa d’en Bossa are quoted individually and are a different holiday.
  • Nights. Five or seven nights rather than four is priced on request.
  • Club entry. Not included and not cheap — tickets and drinks in the major clubs are a serious cost in season.

Who this holiday suits

  • Couples and friends who want the island rather than the club strip, with the option of both.
  • Anyone after a cheap four nights of Mediterranean sun in September or May.
  • Travellers curious about Ibiza who have been put off by its reputation.
  • People who will take the ferry to Formentera, which is worth the trip on its own.
  • Off-season visitors who want somewhere warm, quiet and inexpensive in November or February.

Who might prefer something else

  • If you are coming for the clubs, do not book November to March. They are closed, and no price makes that worth it.
  • Want to be in the middle of the nightlife? Cala Llonga is deliberately not. Ask us for San Antonio or Playa d’en Bossa instead.
  • Prefer a big island with a lot to see? Mallorca is considerably larger and more varied.
  • Want to swim in winter? The Mediterranean is cold from November to May. The Canaries are the answer.
  • If August is fixed, you are paying the top price at the busiest possible time.
  • Still weighing it up? Compare this against every one of our beach holidays.
  • If this is nearly right, look at our 5 Nights Lanzarote Escape too before you decide.

Ways to upgrade

All quoted at enquiry against your dates.

  • A sea-view or upgraded room at the Los Molinos
  • A different base — Ibiza Town for the old town, San Antonio for the strip, Santa Eulalia for quiet
  • Five or seven nights rather than four
  • Half board or all-inclusive where the hotel offers it
  • Airport transfers, boat trips and the Formentera ferry
  • Club tickets and table bookings in season

What is not included?

  • Transfers from Ibiza airport, around twenty-five minutes to Cala Llonga.
  • Club entry and drinks, which in season are a substantial cost in their own right.
  • The Formentera ferry and any boat trips.
  • Meals beyond the board arrangement, which we confirm in writing before you pay.
  • Car hire, plus the local tourist tax the hotel collects.

How do you get there and get around?

Flights are from London, around two and a half hours, with regional UK airports at a supplement confirmed at enquiry. Spain is one hour ahead of the UK.

Transfers are not included. Ibiza airport is around twenty-five minutes from Cala Llonga by taxi. Buses connect the resorts and Ibiza Town and are cheap, though they thin out considerably in winter. A hire car is worth it if you want the hill villages and the quieter coves, which are where the island is at its best.

Entry requirements for UK travellers

Checked against GOV.UK foreign travel advice on 17 September 2026.

Spain is in the Schengen area, so British passport holders need no visa for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years of your arrival date and be valid at least three months after you leave. A passport renewed early before October 2018 may carry months that no longer count.

The EU’s biometric Entry/Exit System is rolling out, replacing passport stamps with fingerprints and a photograph on your first crossing. It is free, lasts three years and speeds up later trips. ETIAS is not currently required.

Practicalities worth knowing

The Balearic Islands charge a sustainable tourism tax per person per night, payable at the hotel rather than in the package price. It varies by season and star rating and it is not optional.

Club nights in season are expensive in a way the package price does not hint at — entry, drinks and the taxi back add up quickly. Budget separately and realistically if that is why you are going.

The sea is Mediterranean and warmest in late summer. September and October are the best months for swimming; May and June the water is still cool despite the air being warm.

Much of the island shuts down between November and April, including a good number of restaurants and beach bars. That is the trade for the low price, and in Cala Llonga it is noticeable.

Booking and protection

Your booking is covered by our ATOL licence 10713 and we hold IATA accreditation 91285611. It is held with a deposit of £99 per person, with the balance due before travel.

Prices are per person, based on two people sharing. September is the month we would point most people towards — warm sea, the season still running, and well below the August price.

Frequently asked questions

From £199 per person for four nights, reduced from £250, including return flights from London and a 4★ hotel at Cala Llonga. November is the cheapest month and August the dearest. Your exact figure is confirmed at enquiry.

No, and this is the most important thing to know before booking a cheap month. Ibiza's club season runs roughly from late spring to early autumn, with opening and closing parties either end. In November, January and February the clubs are shut and no price makes that worth it if nightlife is why you are going.

September is the best combination — the sea is at its warmest after a summer of heating, the clubs are still running, and it is sixty pounds cheaper than August. Prefer the island rather than the nightlife? November is quiet and good value.

On the east coast, a quiet horseshoe bay with a sandy beach about twenty minutes from Ibiza Town and further from the club strip. It suits people who want the island rather than San Antonio or Playa d'en Bossa, with the option of a taxi to either when you want them.

The Hotel THB Los Molinos Ibiza or similar 4★. Alternative bases can be quoted against your dates — Ibiza Town for the old town, San Antonio for the sunset strip and the clubs, or Santa Eulalia for somewhere quieter still. They are genuinely different holidays.

Your meal arrangement is confirmed in writing before you pay, so there is no ambiguity about what is covered. Ask when you enquire and we will confirm what is covered.

No, and a great many people who say they dislike Ibiza have only seen San Antonio. Most of the island is hill villages, pine forest, small coves, farm restaurants and a UNESCO-listed old town at Dalt Vila. It is a different place five minutes inland from the strip.

The walled old town above Ibiza Town, UNESCO World Heritage listed and the thing most first-time visitors are surprised by. Walk up through the gate at dusk — the view back over the harbour is the best free thing on the island and it takes about twenty minutes.

If you have the day, yes. The small island to the south has the best beaches in the Balearics and is a ferry ride from Ibiza Town. On four nights it costs you a full day, and for a good number of visitors it turns out to be the best one. The ferry is not included.

More than the package price hints at. Entry, drinks and the taxi back add up quickly in season, and the major clubs are expensive by any standard. None of it is included. If nightlife is the reason you are going, budget for it separately and realistically before you book.

Yes. The Balearic Islands charge a sustainable tourism tax per person per night, payable at the hotel rather than in the package price. It varies by season and star rating, and it is not optional. Your hotel collects it at check-in or check-out.

No. Spain is in the Schengen area and British passport holders can stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period without one. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years of your arrival date and be valid at least three months after you leave. Checked against GOV.UK on 17 September 2026.

This is the Mediterranean, so it warms slowly and holds it. September and October are the best months for swimming. In May and June the air is warm but the water is still cool, and from November to April it is genuinely cold. The Canaries are the year-round swimming option.

Very. A good number of restaurants and beach bars close between November and April, and at Cala Llonga that is noticeable. It is the trade for a £199 price. For somewhere warm, cheap and genuinely quiet it works well; for somewhere with everything open, it does not.

Not for the resort — buses connect Cala Llonga, Ibiza Town and the main resorts cheaply, though they thin out in winter. A car is worth it for the hill villages and the quieter coves, which is where the island is at its best and where the buses do not go.

It works — two days by the beach, one in Ibiza Town and Dalt Vila, and one for Formentera or the coves. Five or seven nights is priced on request and suits anyone who wants both the island and the nightlife without choosing between them.

Mallorca is much larger and more varied, with mountains, a proper city in Palma and a longer list of things to do. Ibiza is smaller, has the better nightlife in season and the better small coves. For a first Balearic trip with a family, Mallorca; for a short break with friends, Ibiza.

At Cala Llonga, yes — the bay is sheltered, sandy and shallow, which is better for children than most of the rocky coves. The parts of Ibiza that put families off are San Antonio and Playa d'en Bossa, and the package is deliberately not in either of them.

No. Ibiza airport is around twenty-five minutes from Cala Llonga by taxi. We can arrange a private transfer as part of your booking if you would rather not sort it on arrival — just ask when you enquire and we will price it against your dates.

Ninety-nine pounds per person, with the balance due before travel. The holiday is ATOL 10713 protected and we hold IATA accreditation 91285611. Prices are per person, based on two people sharing.

Once. It is busy and thoroughly commercialised, and it is still part of what Ibiza is. The quieter version — any west-facing cove with something to drink — is free and, most people find, better. Both are twenty-five minutes or so from Cala Llonga.

September and the shoulder months hold availability reasonably well. July and August sell early at the top of the range. If you are coming for a specific club night or an opening or closing party, book considerably earlier — those dates move first and the hotels around them go with them.
